
Working as a professional photographer since 2005, Lucas Bori navigates between commissioned photography and authorial projects. With a background in Graphic Design, he furthered his visual studies at the International Center of Photography (ICP) and the George Eastman Museum in New York, and at Ateliê da Imagem in Rio de Janeiro.
His commercial portfolio includes collaborations with brands such as Osklen, Sol de Janeiro, Coca-Cola, Sony, Matte Leão, Cantão, and Redley, as well as album covers and editorials for record labels like Biscoito Fino and Sony Music. His work has been featured in prestigious international publications, including Vogue Brasil, Wallpaper * (UK), Die Zeit, and Rolling Stone (US).
In his authorial work, Lucas has dedicated the last decade to documenting Rio de Janeiro, focusing on a sociocultural investigation of its street carnival. This body of work has been exhibited at Instituto Inclusartiz (RJ), Museu de Arte Sacra (SP), Galeria Bianca Boeckel (SP), Casa Proeza (RJ), and the Brazil Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 (Japan).
In the publishing world, his work is featured in the international anthology Love Story: New Photography on Love and Intimacy (Hoxton Mini Press, London) and Onde o Rio Encontra o Mar – City & Sea (Editora Língua Geral). Lucas Bori resides in Rio de Janeiro, his main source of inspiration, and works on projects both in Brazil and abroad.
